As the co-founder of The Rested Collective, her aim is to support people to find deep rest. With other practitioners that have 'rest' at the centre of their living principles, she weaves together beautiful events, using her resonant meditative voice to incredible internal rest and healing spaces.
Dr Leah started her Yoga Nidra joinery 10 years ago, to manage sleepless nights as a doctor and new mother. The 30mins of lying down and allowing someone to guide you into rest, was initially something she just did to get some rest. When starting her Somatic Experiencing training, it opened to the door to truly value what Yoga Nidra for what it is and what it gives to people in our frantic world. Yoga Nidra is a guided rest meditation, where all you need to do is lie down, get comfortable and listen. Listen with every part of your body and senses, allowing you to truly let go. It is said that 45 mins of Yoga Nidra is the same as sleeping 3hrs of REM sleep; the deepest and most nourishing part of our nightly sleep cycle.
It has become a central part of Dr Leah's healing offer, using her specialist knowledge and experience in the field of body, sense, mind and meditation, to give you a trauma informed sleep journey. Her sessions are usually linked to Gong Music, giving the participant another way to fall into deep relaxation. Taking you through the 5 stages, and then allowing you to astral travel with the Gong, has left participants waking up feeling deeply settled, wide awake and ready to come back for more.
